We really enjoyed the cabin. The views and privacy was fantastic. I
hope to return, but this time I'm bringing my Kayak. It was the
perfect place to escape from a stressful job. My wife and I relaxed
and did nothing but enjoy the views and Hot Tub. We have a very nice
house on another lake in North Carolina, but it can not compete with
the views at The Fish Hook. Jerry, Cherryville NC 7/12/11
Thank you for letting
us stay at the fish hook inn! We had so much fun and it is great to
wake up and see such an incredible view of the lake. We will
definitely be renting again, hopefully next year! Krista, Decatur
GA 6/17/11
Wow..... What can we say about this
cabin? It was a beautiful place, we loved everything about it!! I
think my favorite thing of it all was the layout of the cabin! I
loved it! The Hot Tub was wonderfully relaxing. The view was worth
more than a million dollars!! Thank you for sharing this with us, we
will always appreciate it!

We had a wonderful time in Fish Hook Inn... It was a great cabin, great
location, our family truly enjoyed it!!
we feel the pictures did it no justice.... much prettier and nicer and
very comfortable...........
We were very pleased and would highly recommend it to anyone..... Carmen
We had a terrific weekend at "Fish Hook Inn", and we plan to try to stay
there again next year if it's available. The house and property were
absolutely wonderful--everything was clean and neat and comfortable. We
also loved the seclusion and privacy. What a great place! We can't
believe that we were so lucky to find it. It was everything your website
described and more!!!! We also enjoyed David's pontoon boat. It was the
perfect way to tour the lake, and the kids loved fishing and swimming
off of it. Thanks again for all your help, Susan
The
vacation at fish hook was almost magical for us, we loved it and
absolutely will be coming back. Everything was perfect more than what I
imagined. Thanks a lot for everything and I appreciated the early check
in.
Thanks a million Walt! Ehsan
We had the most relaxing
vacation that we have had in a long time. We loved the house and the
privacy. The hot tub was wonderful. Everything was so perfect right
down to the bathrobes. We enjoyed watching the fog lift off of the lake
each morning and the sun peeping over the trees as it was coming up in
the morning. I would recommend Fish Hook Inn to anyone who really loves
privacy, the lake and the mountains and waterfalls that we found on
Wayah Bald Road. Again, everything was perfect. Jennette
"What a great weekend! The
cabin was truly beautiful and we had a very relaxing time. Thank you."
"We absolutely LOVED our stay. As a matter
of fact, we're planning another trip there with some buddies, and we're
trying to figure out when we can make it--six adults (three couples), and
three kids (well, my kids are grown, but there will be a baby on this
trip) and we're trying to arrange our schedules before all of your dates
are taken up.
The trip was great. Our kids ("kids" being 21 & 18, and my son's friend
is 17) had a blast. We used the paddle boat and we also brought a canoe.
I hope that that will be the first of MANY of our stays there.
Area Activities
There's plenty to do in the area. The cabin is just a
short drive from the white water rafting and kayaking venues on the
Nantahala and Ocoee rivers. That's in addition to all the great
activities the North Carolina Smokies have to offer - Boating on
Nantahala Lake - You may bring your own boat or jet ski, or rent
a pontoon boat.
Fishing - A relatively low number of boaters makes Nantahala a great
fishing lake. You'll find walleye, crappie, sunfish, trout and bass
all available for your private fish fry at Moonlight Reflections. And
below the dam, where the river cascades toward the Nantahala Gorge,
you'll find some of the best fly fishing spots in the eastern US.
Horseback riding- Several nearby stables, including Lonesome Dove
Stables, offer guided trail riding.
Great Smoky Mountains Railroad, in nearby Dillsboro and Bryson City,
offers several scenic excursions. Mountain Biking - The nearby Tsali
trails offer some of the best mountain biking trails. Bikes can be
rented at the Nantahala Outdoor Center .
Other nearby things to do- Great Smoky Mountains National Park
Cherokee Indian Reservation Biltmore House Cherohala Skyway Blue Ridge
Parkway.

Hope you join us in the mountains.
Don't miss the fabulous Autumn Leaf Season...
reserve now for next fall.
Nature's annual autumn color festival is
certainly one of the greatest shows on earth and the peak begins in North
Carolina's mountains higher elevations in late September and lasts to early
November in the lower valleys.
Fall
leaf color reports, along with suggested drives,
events calendar and
plenty of area information.
